2023-2024

sent from above is a participatory installation about memories, dreams, and connections.

How do you keep a memory alive? This work creates a space to document and share the moments we hold close. Visitors are encouraged to activate the work by writing a message and pinning it to the clothesline and fabric panels. By sharing these moments, we’re able to maintain them and connect with other people through them. The work creates a space that is personal and communal, underscoring how time and memory collide.

This work was on view as a part of After-Hours: People Who Work Here at David Zwirner during the summer of 2024. More than 300 notes were contributed by visitors over the course of the exhibition.
